Healthcare Job Details

• Assignment Length: 16 weeks
• Start Date: February 23, 2026
• End Date: June 15, 2026
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Labor & Delivery Unit (Alice T. Miner Women & Children’s Center)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7p-7a); weekend shifts required (every other or every third weekend)
• Hours per Week: 36
• On-Site Position
• Orientation: 1-2 days
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1730-$1860

Lab Technician Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Hospital Lab Technician
• At least 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery or OB required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Surgical Tech Certification (NBSTSA or equivalent) required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• STABLE and ACLS certifications preferred
• Ability to float and take call as needed
• Experience in trauma level II or higher facilities preferred
• Reliable personal transportation required (public transportation not accessible)
• Strong documentation skills; Epic or GE Centricity Perinatal experience preferred

Lab Tech Responsibilities

• Support Labor & Delivery operations, including specimen collection, laboratory draws, and assisting with procedures
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including nurses, physicians, and ancillary staff
• Maintain competencies in CPR, NRP, and other required certifications
• Assist with circulating and scrubbing in the operating room as needed
• Follow hospital protocols for infection control, safety, and clinical documentation
• Provide compassionate care to antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecological patients, as well as neonates
• Participate in team nursing and support patient care 24/7
• Float to other hospital units as required and participate in on-call rotation (4 hours per pay period)
