Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an RRT in a hospital or acute care setting
• Current New Jersey Respiratory Therapist license (or eligibility)
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered respiratory care

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory therapy and clinical support to patients in acute and long-term hospital settings
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and manage ventilator support as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor patient responses, assess respiratory status, and adjust care plans accordingly
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation, follow hospital protocols, and adhere to safety and compliance standards
