Interventional Radiology Technologist Job Details
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2260 - $2420
- Assignment Type: Travel, Short-Term Acute Care Hospital
- Location: Washington, DC 20007 (Georgetown – premier healthcare district with access to top medical facilities, dining, and the Potomac River)
- Start Date: January 12, 2026
- End Date: April 13, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00 – 17:30), rotating days off
- Hours per Week: 40
- Call Requirements: Weekend call (Friday–Sunday) every 6 weeks; weekday call every other week; late stay as needed
- Scrubs Provided
- Charting: Cerner EMR
Qualifications for Interventional Radiology Technologist
- Minimum 2 years of recent interventional radiology technologist experience in a hospital or acute care setting
- At least 1 prior travel healthcare assignment required
- Active DC Radiologic Technologist license (or pending at time of application)
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ARRT or ARDMS, Cardiac Interventional (CI) or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT)
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, ARRT Advanced (Vascular Interventional, Cardiac-Interventional, Cardiovascular)
- Proficient with C-Arm, contrast, biopsies, and IR/Angio/special procedures
- Experience with Siemens, PACS, and ultrasound equipment preferred
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Two (2) supervisor references required
Interventional Radiology Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of interventional radiology procedures, including vascular, nonvascular, and neurological image-guided interventions
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment (C-Arm, ultrasound, Siemens, etc.)
- Assist with angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, biopsies, and other advanced interventional procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, stock supplies, and ensure equipment readiness for all radiology procedures
- Participate in on-call rotation and late stay coverage as scheduled
- Accurately document procedures and patient information using Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Support patient safety and contribute to clinical trials and advanced treatment protocols
