Radiologic Technologist Job Details

• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 (New York healthcare job)
• Facility: Hospital – Interventional Radiology Department
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 4, 2026)
• Shift: 5x8 hour day shifts per week (includes on call, callback, and holiday coverage as needed)
• Employment Type: Travel Radiologic Technologist Contract
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $3120–$3200

Radiologic Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (Interventional Radiology experience preferred)
• Active NYS Radiologic Technologist License or eligibility to obtain prior to start date
• BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
• VIR (Vascular Interventional Radiology) Certification preferred
• Proficiency in operating radiology equipment and producing diagnostic-quality images

Key Responsibilities

• Set exposure factors, position patients, and consistently produce high-quality radiologic images for interventional procedures
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to resolve issues and maintain a positive clinical environment
• Prepare and instruct patients for imaging exams; assist radiologists during interventional radiology procedures
• Operate all radiology equipment efficiently and report equipment malfunctions promptly
• Complete assigned imaging procedures, assist with room turnover, and support departmental operations
• Ensure medication security and maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with hospital and healthcare regulations
• Provide competent care to patients of all ages in a hospital setting
• Utilize Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS for accurate documentation and workflow management
• Participate in hospital performance improvement initiatives and uphold patient privacy standards
• Respond professionally to technical inquiries from physicians and hospital staff
