Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital or clinical setting
• Experience with 12-hour shifts and ability to adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills
• Current eligibility to work in the United States

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients in the hospital Respiratory Care Service unit
• Assess, plan, and implement respiratory therapy interventions for diverse patient populations
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress and response to respiratory therapy
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment safely and efficiently
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care procedures and equipment usage as needed
