• Facility: Acute Care Hospital – Respiratory Therapy (NICU/PICU required)
• Contract Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist Job
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: April 11, 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (8-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed)

Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from NBRC
• Minimum 1 year of hospital or physician office experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Required experience in NICU and/or PICU respiratory care
• Graduate of a CoARC-accredited or AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Current New Jersey Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Strong computer literacy and EMR experience

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care, including pulmonary function testing and initiation of CPAP therapy
• Manage and support durable medical equipment (DME) needs such as oxygen concentrators and nebulizers
• Educate and train patients on proper inhaler and respiratory device usage
• Set up and monitor patients with DME equipment
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal clinical outcomes
