Radiologic Technologist Job Details

• Location: Rochester, NY 14621 – Ideal for healthcare professionals seeking New York radiology jobs with access to rich cultural attractions and outdoor recreation.
• Position Type: Travel Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) Contract
• Facility: Tertiary Care Hospital
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 6, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night Shift, 4x10-hour shifts (Wednesday – Saturday, 9:30pm – 7:30am)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,110 - $2,260
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrub Color: Navy and white combinations
• Weekend Requirements: Weekends included in block
• On Call: No on-call requirements
• First-Time Travelers: Welcome to apply
• Floating: Required between units as needed

Radiology Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech)
• Active New York State Radiology license (must be in hand at submission)
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• BLS certification
• Previous travel healthcare experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Ability to provide clinical support for neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Flexibility to float between radiology units as needed

Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures for patients of all ages in a hospital setting
• Operate imaging equipment including C-Arm, PACS, and portable bedside radiology units
• Conduct radiographic procedures: Abdomen (decubitus, supine, upright), chest, orbits, skull, and extremities (ankle, femur, foot, knee, patella, tibia-fibula, toes, trauma lower extremity)
• Adhere to isolation precautions and radiology safety protocols
• Accurately document all procedures and patient information in Epic
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care
• Deliver compassionate care and clear communication to patients and families
• Complete orientation and required clinical modules prior to start date
