Ultrasound Tech Job Details

- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 5x8-Hour Days (Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2040-$2190
- Charting System: Cerner
- Parking: Available (cost applies)
Ultrasound Technician Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Tech, preferably in maternal-fetal medicine, high-risk OB, or obstetric ultrasound
- ARDMS OB/GYN certification required
- Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification required (or experience performing NT scans with willingness to obtain certification by start date)
- Proficiency in Nuchal Translucency Screen, High Risk OB, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Obstetrics
- General ultrasound skills; experience with amniocentesis and GE anatomy scans preferred
- Valid Washington, DC state license required at time of submission (pending license may be considered for certain units)
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Two supervisor references required

Ultrasound Tech Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations on OB patients, including high-risk pregnancies and fetal abnormalities
- Conduct Nuchal Translucency screening and assist with maternal-fetal medicine procedures
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced, high-volume perinatal center
- Document findings accurately using the Cerner charting system
- Deliver compassionate patient care and clear communication to patients and families
- Complete orientation and required modules prior to start
