Endoscopy Technician Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Endoscopy Technician in a hospital or healthcare setting
• At least 1 prior travel healthcare assignment completed
• High-Level Disinfection (HLD) certification highly encouraged
• Expertise in aseptic technique, equipment maintenance, and clinical support
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for hospital environments

Endoscopy Technician Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and operate endoscopy equipment using aseptic technique
• Monitor and ensure sterile and high-level disinfectant integrity during procedures
• Disassemble, inspect, and perform preventive maintenance on endoscopy equipment and supplies
• Conduct pre-cleaning, leak testing, cleaning, high-level disinfection, and identify repairs for endoscopes per regulatory standards
• Follow hospital protocols for reprocessing and storing endoscopes and accessories
• Determine appropriate high-level disinfection methods based on materials and manufacturer instructions
• Check and calibrate equipment according to hospital protocol
• Assist with ambulatory technician duties, including obtaining/documenting vital signs and transporting patients
