Washington, DC MRI Technologist Job Details
- Location: Washington, DC 20007 (Georgetown)
- Facility Type: Short-Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/13/2026)
- Shift: Evening shift, 3x12-hour days (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 10:30am – 11:00pm)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,700 - $1,830 per week
- Employment Type: Travel MRI Technologist, On-Site
- Charting System: Cerner
- Parking: Available (cost applies)
- Scrubs: Any color (not provided)
- Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)
MRI Technologist Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of MRI Technologist experience in hospital or clinical settings
- At least 1 prior travel MRI Technologist assignment required
- Valid DC state license (must be in hand or proof of application)
- Certifications: ARMRIT or ARRT MR, BLS, CPR, IV certification
- Proficiency with SIEMENS MRI equipment and PACS
- Strong IV skills and experience with adult outpatient imaging
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Two supervisor references required
MRI Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI scans for outpatient and acute care patients
- Operate SIEMENS MRI equipment and manage images using PACS
- Start and manage peripheral IVs; administer contrast media as needed
- Adhere to isolation precautions and hospital safety protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in a teaching hospital setting
- Accurately document procedures and patient information in Cerner charting system
- Deliver compassionate, professional patient care to all age groups
- Comply with all hospital policies, including mandatory flu vaccination
