Key Job Details – MRI Technologist

• Location: Newark, NY 14513 (Finger Lakes region)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital MRI Department
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/13/2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts/week (Mon–Fri, 08:00–16:30; Wed 07:30–16:00)
• Coverage: May cover 12:30p–8:30p shift if 2nd shift technologist is off
• On Call: None
• Weekends & Holidays: Not required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,350–$2,520

MRI Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist
• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license (required by start date)
• ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS certification required
• MRI certification preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Community hospital and trauma experience preferred
• Ability to float to other imaging units as needed

Healthcare Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans for acute care, outpatient, and trauma patients
• Prepare and administer contrast media safely
• Operate MRI equipment and follow radiation safety protocols
• Document patient care using EPIC charting system
• Collaborate with radiology and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Float to other imaging units as required
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and utilize equipment such as Hoyer Lift
• Complete orientation and required modules prior to start
