Radiologic Technologist Job Details

• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 (New York healthcare jobs)

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 5x8 hour shifts per week (option for 4x10 hour shifts)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call: 2-3 call shifts per month plus at least 1 holiday assignment
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,170 - $3,400
• On-Site Position

Radiologic Technologist Qualifications

• Active Radiologic Technologist License in New York State
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting
• Experience in Neurosurgery or Neuroscience required
• Interventional Radiology experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality radiologic images by selecting appropriate exposure factors and patient positioning
• Assist radiologists and collaborate with healthcare team during interventional neuro radiology procedures
• Administer oral contrast and prepare patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic exams
• Operate x-ray, CR, and DR equipment proficiently
• Report equipment malfunctions and assist with department tasks such as stocking and patient transport
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
• Utilize Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS efficiently
• Participate in hospital performance improvement and quality assurance activities
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism in all patient and staff interactions
