Healthcare Job Details
- Location: Washington, DC 20007 (Georgetown)
- Setting: Hospital – Ambulatory Operating Room (OR) and Main OR
- Employment Type: Travel Contract
- Duration: 13 weeks (Start: January 12, 2026 – End: April 13, 2026)
- Schedule: Day Shift, 5x8-Hour Shifts (11:00 AM – 8:30 PM), 40 hours/week
- Weekend Coverage: One shift per month (Saturday or Sunday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1030–$1100 per week
- Scrub Color: Blue
- Unit: Anesthesia Technician (40112-30117)
Anesthesia Technician Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician or Anesthesia Tech
- Valid DC state license (active or pending, per hospital policy)
- BLS certification required
- Cer.A.T certification preferred
- Proficient in Ambulatory OR and Operating Room procedures and equipment
- Experience with hospital charting systems
- Previous charge anesthesia tech experience preferred
- Local healthcare candidates within 60 miles encouraged to apply
- Two supervisor references required
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
Anesthesia Tech Responsibilities
- Transport supplies and anesthesia equipment into operating rooms (no direct patient care)
- Assist anesthesia providers during critical situations
- Perform anesthesia machine checkout and troubleshooting
- Set up operating rooms for first case and assist with room turnover
- Support patient transport and positioning in the OR
- Maintain operating room safety standards: electrical, fire, and infection control
- Handle and process anesthesia-related equipment (endotracheal tubes, breathing circuits, IV pumps, rapid infuser, monitors, etc.)
- Assist with arterial, central venous, and vascular access procedures
- Work with various anesthesia modes: General, MAC, Regional anesthesia
- Participate in time out process for surgical procedures
- Support both adult and pediatric patient populations in the hospital setting
