Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years preferred)
• Active RRT credential from NBRC
• Active Respiratory Care license from the New Jersey Board of Respiratory Care
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required)
• Ability to complete all required orientation modules and in-person classes

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide patient care through the Respiratory Care process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver effective clinical support
• Contribute to positive patient outcomes in the hospital setting
• Participate in unit-based orientation and ongoing training for respiratory therapy jobs
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and timely completion of orientation and badge requirements
