Occupational Therapist Qualifications

• Active Maryland Occupational Therapist license in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist (senior care or skilled nursing experience preferred)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical skills
• Compassionate, professional approach to patient care
• Compliance with healthcare onboarding requirements:
  • Two-step PPD or TB test within 30 days of start date
  • CPR certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
  • COVID vaccination records or approved exemption
  • Background check and fingerprinting
  • Current resume
  • Physical exam completed by a physician, PA, or NP

Occupational Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality occupational therapy evaluations and treatments for senior residents
• Develop and implement individualized care plans to improve mobility, safety, and independence
• Collaborate with the rehab team, nursing staff, and healthcare partners
• Document therapy services using Net Health (training provided)
• Support a positive, resident-centered culture within the therapy department
