Radiologic Technologist Job Details

• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Interventional Radiology, Neurosurgery/Neuroscience Unit

• Duration: 13-week contract
• Schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts per week
• On-call: 1-2 times per week and 1-2 weekends per month (as needed)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,170 - $3,400

Radiologic Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting
• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License
• ARRT Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• Experience in Neurosurgery or Neuroscience required
• Interventional Radiology experience preferred

Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional radiologic imaging procedures in the neuro IR unit
• Ensure accurate patient positioning and select appropriate exposure factors for optimal imaging
• Administer oral contrast and assist radiologists during interventional procedures
• Operate x-ray equipment, CR, and DR systems proficiently
• Prepare and instruct patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic exams
• Report equipment malfunctions and support departmental operations between procedures
• Maintain medication security and patient confidentiality at all times
• Utilize Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS for clinical support
• Participate in hospital performance improvement and quality assurance activities
• Deliver compassionate, respectful, and accountable care to patients of all ages
