Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Location: Seaford, DE 19973 (Delaware healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Hospital – Respiratory Therapy Unit
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: March 2, 2026 – End: June 1, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,730 - $1,860
• Employment Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist Contract
• Weekend Availability: Required as needed

Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist (ICU and/or Critical Care experience preferred)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Delaware Respiratory Care Practitioner license required
• Graduate of a 2-4 year Respiratory Therapy program (A.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent)
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• ACLS (AHA) certification required
• PALS (AHA) certification required
• NRP certification required
• Knowledge of ventilator management and respiratory equipment
• Ability to respond to changes in workload, including emergencies

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care to patients in ICU, critical care, and general hospital units
• Rotate into the OB Nursery and respond to STAT C-Sections as needed
• Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory therapy equipment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care
• Adapt to changing patient needs and respond promptly to emergency situations
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital protocols
