SLP Job Requirements

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in New Jersey
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an SLP (experience in assisted living, senior care, or healthcare setting preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Dedication to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care

SLP Responsibilities in Assisted Living

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in assisted living residents
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for seniors
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and caregiving staff to ensure comprehensive clinical support
• Educate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes
