Radiology Technologist Job Details

• Facility: Hospital Radiology Department
• Assignment Type: Travel Radiology Tech position

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10am–6pm; every other weekend with call
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,990–$2,140 per week

Radiology Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist or X-Ray Technician (1–3 years preferred)
• Graduate of an Accredited Radiography Program
• Active New Jersey State RT License (NJ Radiologic Technologist License required)
• ARRT Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
• Proficient with a variety of imaging equipment: setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Up-to-date knowledge of clinical practice trends and healthcare informatics
• Strong initiative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging and radiology procedures in accordance with state, federal, and professional standards
• Ensure proper care, maintenance, and safety of all radiology equipment
• Assess patient safety, comfort, and procedural needs during imaging processes
• Monitor and revise imaging procedures as needed; coordinate daily workflow
• Stay current with advancements in radiology technology, hardware, and software
• Other related duties as assigned
