Part-Time Night Polysomnographic Technician (Sleep Tech) — Join our hospital sleep lab team in Staten Island, NY to support diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders in a collaborative healthcare setting.

Job Details

• Location: Staten Island, NY 10310 — local hospital sleep lab, serving a diverse NYC community
• Setting: Hospital (sleep lab / polysomnography)
• Start Date: March 2, 2026
• Schedule: 2 shifts per week, 10-hour night shifts (8:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Friday & Saturday)
• Weekday Flexibility: On non-weekend rotations, you will have input on your preferred two days worked
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $806 – $895
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Employment Type: Local, W2
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Polysomnographic Technician / Sleep Tech in a clinical or hospital sleep lab setting
• Proven ability to work independently and efficiently during overnight shifts
• Strong clinical and technical skills in sleep study procedures and polysomnography
• Excellent communication, patient care, and bedside manner skills
• Willingness to work every other weekend (Friday & Saturday)
• Experience with sleep study documentation and basic troubleshooting of monitoring equipment
• Preferred: Credential such as RPSGT or CPSGT is a plus (not required)

Responsibilities

• Conduct overnight sleep studies (polysomnography) and continuously monitor patients throughout the night
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain sleep study and monitoring equipment according to hospital and sleep lab protocols
• Document patient data, observations, and study parameters accurately and thoroughly in the electronic charting system
• Respond promptly to patient needs, ensure patient safety, and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed
• Collaborate with sleep medicine physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare team members to support diagnosis and treatment plans
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with hospital infection control and safety policies
