This on-site Dietary Aide assignment is located in Trenton, NJ 08638—a centrally located capital city with convenient commuting routes throughout the region.

- Schedule: Kitchen operates 7 days/week, 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM; open availability and flexibility required
- Weekend Coverage: Rotating weekends required
- Pay Rate: $33.95/hour (Estimated Weekly Pay: $790–$850/week)
- Uniform: All black scrubs required (no jeans, sweats, or hoodies)
Dietary Aide Requirements
- Experience: Prior food service experience strongly preferred (hospital, long-term care, or high-volume setting a plus)
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- Skills: Strong customer service, clear communication, and ability to follow menus and production sheets accurately
- Availability: Must be flexible to support coverage across all 7 days
- Vaccination: Flu vaccine required (no exceptions)
- Certifications/Licensure: None required
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs floor-to-waist and up to 35 lbs waist-and-above; frequent walking, bending, pushing/pulling
Key Responsibilities – Patient Meal Service & Tray Line
- Prepare setup lists for the patient tray line using menus and production sheets
- Submit stock sheets to the storeroom for fulfillment and delivery
- Gather correct food items and quantities for patient meal trays, Meals on Wheels, and other tray services
- Include special request items and accurately identify special orders on the tray line
- Place beverages correctly and ensure trays match patient selections
- Support Meals on Wheels tray line setup and assist as needed
- Follow portion sizes per production sheets; compare expected yield to actual servings
- Use proper utensils to maintain portion control and food quality standards
- Store leftovers properly (cover, label, date) per facility procedures
- Clean tray line, steam tables, warmers, refrigerators, and floors using approved products and procedures
- Follow HACCP guidelines, including documenting food temperatures in log books
