- Shift: Night (NOC), 12-hour shifts
- Hours per Week: 36 (3 x 12-hour shifts)
- Schedule Requirements: Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1830 - $1970
Qualifications & Requirements
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred (NBRC-certified)
- Minimum 1 year of hospital-based respiratory therapy experience; ICU/critical care or pulmonary unit experience a plus
- Ability to work night shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays
- Strong clinical documentation, communication, and patient education skills
- Familiarity with ventilator management, ABG analysis, airway management, and respiratory diagnostics
- Commitment to HIPAA, patient confidentiality, and regulatory compliance
Key Responsibilities (Respiratory Therapy)
- Assess patients' respiratory care needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the medical team
- Provide and document therapeutic modalities: aerosolized medications, secretion management, pulmonary volume expansion, oxygen therapy, and chest physiotherapy
- Initiate and manage conventional and high-frequency mechanical ventilators; adjust ventilator settings and participate in ventilator weaning protocols
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and interpretation; operate point-of-care blood gas analyzers
- Manage noninvasive ventilation (NIV), high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), ETCO2 monitoring, and pulse oximetry
- Assist with acute airway management, intubation support, and maintenance of artificial airways
- Support intra-hospital transport of mechanically ventilated and critically ill patients
- Assist the medical team with fiberoptic bronchoscopy procedures and placement/support of invasive monitoring lines
- Coordinate discharge planning for patients who require respiratory-related durable medical equipment (DME) and home oxygen
- Precept orientees and respiratory therapy students during clinical rotations
- Serve as Shift Coordinator/charge respiratory therapist when designated (after one year of employment)
