Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care and ventilator management for ICU, step-down, and med-surg patients
• Serve as an ICU respiratory therapist providing critical care interventions, arterial blood gas analysis, and ventilator adjustments
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (nursing, physicians, pulmonary support) to assess, plan, and implement respiratory care plans
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment and mechanical ventilators
• Monitor and document patient response to respiratory therapy, interventions, and treatment outcomes
• Provide patient and family education on respiratory treatments, oxygen use, and pulmonary hygiene
• Adapt to rotating shifts and support multiple hospital departments as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania Respiratory Care Practitioner License (or eligible to transfer); Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
• Minimum 1 year of hospital-based respiratory therapy experience; ICU experience strongly preferred
• Experience with mechanical ventilation, airway management, and critical care protocols
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts and cover multiple clinical units
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support); ACLS and NRP preferred if applicable to specific units
• Must arrange own hospital parking through facility parking and security

Preferred / Additional Skills

• Prior travel respiratory therapist experience or positive references from acute care hospitals
• Familiarity with pulmonary function testing and non-invasive ventilation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in high-acuity settings
