- Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Non-Invasive Cardiology / Echo Lab
- Start Date: April 6, 2026
- End Date: July 4, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 10:30am – 6:30pm
- Shift: 4x10 hour days (40 guaranteed hours/week)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2150-$2310/week
Required Qualifications – Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Tech
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Sonographer with dedicated inpatient echocardiography experience (documented minimum 200 inpatient echo cases)
- Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDCS) via ARDMS or CCI required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- High School Diploma or GED required; graduation from a CAAHEP or ABHES Cardiovascular Technology program preferred
- Experience scanning for TAVR and MitraClip procedures at facilities that perform these interventions
- Proficiency in valvular assessment, spectral Doppler, Pedoff probe use, contrast echocardiography, and agitated saline studies
- Ability to work independently, recognize abnormalities, and promptly communicate critical findings
- Preferred: TEE and Stress Echo experience, familiarity with 3D echo imaging, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy protocols, VAD and closure device protocols
- Familiarity with ICAEL-accredited echo lab standards, Philips iE33 and EPIQ systems, and Epic or other hospital information systems is a plus
Responsibilities – Echocardiography & Non-Invasive Cardiology
- Prepare patients for echo examinations with a focus on patient comfort, clear communication, and safety
- Perform high-quality adult transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) and follow ASE & IAC guidelines for completeness and accuracy
- Set up ultrasound equipment, probes, contrast agents, and supplies; ensure timely workflow in a busy echo lab
- Review prior reports, prior images, and patient charts to provide context and continuity of care
- Obtain diagnostic images, complete required measurements, and ensure appropriate techniques are used for valvular and structural assessments
- Recognize and notify the reading cardiologist or ordering physician of critical or emergent findings
- Maintain accurate records, QA logs, and inventory control for the assigned area
- Perform additional related duties as assigned, including assistance with TEE, stress studies, or procedural imaging support when required
