• Location: Mechanicsburg, PA 17050 (Central Pennsylvania, near Harrisburg)
• Position: Radiation Therapist – Travel Contract (hospital setting, Radiation Oncology)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 5, 2026)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Shifts per Week: 5 (8-hour shifts; 40 hours/week)
• Weekend/Holiday/on-call: No weekends, holidays, or on-call required
• Employment Type: Travel healthcare job – Radiation Oncology
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,380–$2,550/week

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent experience as a Radiation Therapist in a hospital or similar radiation oncology setting
• Active ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy required
• Demonstrated proficiency delivering radiation treatments and operating therapy equipment (LINAC) in a clinical setting
• Strong patient communication, positioning, immobilization, and documentation skills
• Ability to start on or before April 6, 2026
• Experience with IMRT/VMAT, IGRT, and treatment planning systems preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients according to Radiation Oncologist prescriptions
• Operate and maintain linear accelerators (LINAC) and related therapeutic radiation equipment following safety and QA protocols
• Perform patient setup, positioning, and image-guided verification (IGRT) to ensure accurate treatment delivery
• Monitor patient responses, provide compassionate patient care, and communicate effectively with patients and families
• Accurately document treatment details and maintain patient records in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and clinical staff to support optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to hospital policies, radiation safety standards, and regulatory requirements
