Job Details
- Location: New Hartford, NY 13413 (Central New York, Oneida County)
- Role / Title: Ultrasound Technologist / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Ultrasound Tech, RDMS)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: March 30, 2026
- End Date: June 27, 2026
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
- Shifts per Week: 5 (8-hour days, 40 hours/week)
- Setting: Hospital – high-volume acute care / inpatient & outpatient sonography
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,210 - $2,620 per week
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- NY State Radiologic Technology license (Required)
- ARDMS / RDMS certification (Required)
- BLS certification (AHA) (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience in an acute care hospital setting (Required)
- Proficiency in Doppler (venous/arterial), pediatric (hips, pylorus), thyroid, testicular, breast, OB (obstetric), renal/Flomax, and abdominal studies
- Comfortable managing a high caseload (20+ patients per day) and documenting average patient volumes on resume for the 3 most recent employers
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced hospital environment
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound exams, including Doppler vascular studies, pediatric sonography, thyroid, testicular, breast, OB/GYN, renal, and abdominal imaging
- Operate ultrasound equipment with proper protocols to produce accurate diagnostic images for radiologists and physicians
- Work efficiently in a high-volume hospital department, averaging ~22 cases per day, while maintaining patient safety and image quality
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and clear patient instructions during exams
- Maintain accurate exam documentation, patient records, and comply with hospital policies, QA standards, and safety guidelines
- Communicate findings and collaborate with radiology and clinical teams to ensure timely, accurate diagnostic results
- Adapt to changing priorities and support department workflow needs across inpatient and outpatient services
