Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of RRT experience in a hospital or acute care setting; critical care/ICU experience preferred
• Current Pennsylvania state respiratory therapist license or eligibility to obtain PA licensure
• BLS required (AHA or equivalent); ACLS preferred
• Proven ability to work 12-hour night shifts and fulfill travel assignment schedule
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered clinical skills
• Experience with ventilators, mechanical ventilation, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula is preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care including assessment, treatment, and monitoring of patients across the hospital
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, pulmonary hygiene, and airway management
• Perform ventilator management and support mechanical ventilation for critically ill patients
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory equipment such as ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP devices, and high-flow systems
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Accurately document all respiratory care interventions in the medical record per hospital policy
• Respond to emergency situations and rapid response/Code calls to provide critical respiratory support
