Job Requirements

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Valid New Jersey state license (or eligibility to obtain) — New Jersey respiratory therapist candidates encouraged to apply
• At least 1 year of experience as an RRT in a hospital setting preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient-monitoring skills
• Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities for working with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory therapy treatments and interventions per physician orders as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Monitor and assess patient respiratory status, document care provided, and communicate changes in condition
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory equipment and devices commonly used in hospital respiratory therapy jobs
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and care plans
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care, home oxygen, and equipment use to support successful discharge
• Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving respiratory interventions when needed
