- Float Requirement: Float between Adult Critical Care and NICU units

- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,430–$1,530/week
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an RRT in Adult Critical Care and NICU (hospital respiratory therapist)
- At least 1 prior travel assignment completed (travel respiratory therapist preferred)
- Current RRT credential and CRT certification; BLS required
- Maryland state licensure or Compact License (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Proven experience with ventilators: Draeger V500, Draeger VN500, Servo-U
- Charting and documentation experience with Cerner (Cerner EMR)
- ED, ACLS, and trauma experience preferred
- NRP and PALS certifications preferred for NICU support
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced respiratory care for adult and neonatal patients in critical care settings (ventilator management, weaning, HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP)
- Perform airway management including endotracheal intubation support, suctioning, extubation, nasal/oral airway placement, and tracheostomy care
- Administer respiratory medications and therapies (Albuterol, Atrovent, inhaled steroids, nebulized treatments)
- Monitor and troubleshoot ventilators and high-pressure alarms; respond to ventilator emergencies
- Draw and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs) and interpret results to guide therapy
- Assist in high-risk deliveries, neonatal resuscitation, and umbilical blood gas collection
- Float between Adult Critical Care and NICU per unit needs
- Document respiratory care, interventions, and outcomes in Cerner accurately and timely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including rapid response teams, physicians, nurses, and respiratory services
