- Position: Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (MFM)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: April 28, 2026
- End Date: July 28, 2026
- Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00 - 17:30)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Setting: Hospital – Ultrasound Fetal Assessment Unit (Maternal Fetal Medicine, high-risk OB)

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in high-risk OB, maternal fetal medicine, or obstetrics
- ARDMS certification required; ARDMS OB/GYN (RDMS OB/GYN) required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Current compact or Maryland state license required at time of submission
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record/charting system
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- First-time travel sonographer applicants accepted
Clinical Competencies and Procedures
- Proficiency in fetal ultrasound exams: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester scans
- Fetal Anatomical Survey, Nuchal Translucency screen, Amniotic Fluid Index (AFI)
- Multiple pregnancy assessment, Placenta Previa evaluation, Umbilical Cord Doppler
- Biometry: Abdominal Circumference, Head, Femur and other bone lengths, Cerebellum, Ventricles
- Targeted fetal evaluations: Diaphragm, Duodenal Atresia/Intussusception screening, Fingers/Toes, Cardiac windows
- Experience with GE ultrasound systems preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform high-risk OB and Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) ultrasound examinations for adolescent and adult patients
- Conduct non-stress testing (NST) and utilize external fetal monitoring equipment as needed
- Document all studies, measurements, and findings accurately and timely in Cerner
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including MFM physicians, nurses, interpretation services, transportation, and unit secretaries
- Participate in orientation and complete facility and unit-specific modules within one week of contract start
- Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and MFM unit protocols
