13-week travel contract for a Radiation Therapist in a hospital Radiation Oncology unit in Mechanicsburg, PA (17050). Seeking a certified Radiation Therapist (ARRT/RT(T) or state equivalent) to join our oncology team and deliver safe, high-quality radiation therapy.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,380 – $2,550
• Location: Mechanicsburg, PA 17050 (Central Pennsylvania healthcare)
• Job Title: Travel Radiation Therapist / Radiation Oncology Therapist
• Setting: Hospital – Radiation Oncology (Rad Onc) Unit
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 12, 2026)
• Shift: Monday–Friday, Day Shift (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
• Hours: 5 shifts per week, 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel Contract – Radiation Therapy / Travel RT opportunity

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist, preferably in radiation oncology
• Valid radiation therapy certification (e.g., ARRT RT(T) or state-equivalent licensure)
• Ability to work on-site in a hospital Rad Onc setting and collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology teams
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills
• Commitment to patient safety, quality assurance, and accurate treatment documentation
• BLS certification and LINAC or treatment planning experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients following physician orders and departmental protocols
• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators (LINAC) and immobilization devices
• Perform treatment setup, verify patient positioning, and conduct daily quality checks to ensure safe delivery of care
• Monitor patient responses during treatment, report adverse reactions, and coordinate follow-up with the oncology team
• Maintain accurate treatment records, document care in the electronic medical record (EMR), and support treatment planning as needed
• Provide compassionate patient-focused care and clear education to patients and families about radiation therapy processes
