- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830 - $1,970 (competitive travel respiratory therapist pay)
- Location: Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711 (Wilkes-Barre healthcare / Pennsylvania respiratory therapy jobs)
- Setting: Hospital – Respiratory Therapy General Care Unit
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 12, 2026)
- Shift: 3 × 12-hour evening shifts per week (11:00am–11:30pm or 3:00pm–3:30am)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday
- Employment Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Qualifications & Requirements – Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist (hospital experience preferred)
- Active Pennsylvania Respiratory Therapist license (required)
- CRT and RRT credentials
- BLS (AHA) required
- Preferred: ACLS and PALS certifications
Key Responsibilities – Respiratory Care & Clinical Duties
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients in the General Care unit as a hospital respiratory therapist
- Perform assessments, treatments, and interventions for patients with respiratory needs, including oxygen therapy and aerosolized medication delivery
- Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation and perform ventilator checks when applicable
- Assist with arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpretation and document clinical findings
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to hospital protocols, and follow infection control standards
- Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
