Hospital Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Travel Assignment in Wilkes-Barre, PA. 13-week travel respiratory therapist position (RRT/CRT required) providing acute respiratory care in a hospital general care unit in Northeastern Pennsylvania near the Pocono Mountains.

• Setting: Hospital – Respiratory Therapy, General Care Unit (acute care respiratory therapy)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 12, 2026)
• Schedule: 3 × 12-hour day shifts per week (7:00am – 7:30pm), 36 hours/week
• Shift Details: Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Employment Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist / On-site (travel RT, hospital respiratory care job)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist (hospital or acute care experience preferred)
• Active Pennsylvania Respiratory Therapist License
• CRT and RRT credentials required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Preferred: ACLS and PALS certifications

Core Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care and therapy to adult patients in the general care unit (oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments)
• Assess, develop, implement, and document individualized respiratory treatment plans
• Monitor patient progress, perform patient assessments and adjust therapies, including ventilator management and weaning as appropriate
• Perform arterial blood gas sampling and interpret results for treatment decisions
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital respiratory care protocols
• Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday coverage as required
