Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Tech, Sonographer, or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
• Relevant certification in ultrasound technology (ARDMS preferred; RDMS, RVT, or equivalent accepted)
• Current state licensure if required by Pennsylvania
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary hospital team
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and commitment to patient safety and quality care
• Proficiency with ultrasound equipment operation and basic troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in a hospital setting as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist
• Conduct general diagnostic studies (e.g., abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, pelvic) as required by facility protocols
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and ensure patient comfort and safety
• Maintain accurate patient records, image documentation, and exam reports
• Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes
• Operate, maintain, and follow preventive care protocols for ultrasound equipment
• Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and hospital policies
