Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930 – $2,080 per week
- Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (Finger Lakes region) — New York respiratory jobs
- Setting: Hospital – Respiratory Therapy Unit (acute/critical care)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Shift: Night shifts, 3x12 hours per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: 2–3 nights per weekend coverage

Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Active New York State RRT license required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- NRP certification preferred but not required
- Proven critical care and clinical decision-making skills
- Familiarity with respiratory care protocols and hospital policies
- Proficiency with high flow oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, and arterial puncture
- Prior NICU or pediatric respiratory experience is a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services to neonate, pediatric, and adult patients across acute care units
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care interventions
- Operate and monitor high flow oxygen systems, mechanical ventilators, and non-invasive ventilation devices
- Perform arterial punctures and other respiratory procedures per protocol
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (nurses, physicians, therapists) to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the medical record
- Provide required weekend night coverage; no on-call or floating required
