- Location: Clinton, MD (20735) — Prince George's County, near Washington, D.C.
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36

- Schedule: Every other weekend required
Required Qualifications — Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist in adult critical care, emergency department, and transport settings
- Valid Maryland (MD) license required at time of submission (compact license accepted)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required
- ACLS & BLS certifications required
- Community hospital experience required
- Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
- First-time travel respiratory therapists accepted
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Two (2) supervisor references required
Key Responsibilities — Respiratory Care & Critical Care
- Provide respiratory care across neonatal, adult, and geriatric populations in a hospital setting
- Perform and assist with airway management, intubation, extubation, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
- Manage mechanical ventilation: ventilator setup, troubleshooting, ventilator changes, and weaning protocols
- Administer respiratory therapies including CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, aerosol treatments, and metered dose inhalers
- Interpret and obtain arterial blood gases (ABGs) and use results to guide respiratory interventions
- Respond to respiratory distress, codes, and emergencies in critical care and ED settings
- Participate in patient transports and critical care transfers as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nurses, physicians, transport teams) to deliver high-quality patient care
- Accurately document assessments and interventions using the Cerner electronic health record
