Travel MRI Technologist (MRI Tech) opportunity in Geneva, NY (Finger Lakes) — 13-week hospital contract for a licensed Radiologic Technologist with MRI training. - Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 18, 2026)

- Shift Options:
- Option 1: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri (9:00am–5:30pm) + every other Saturday (8:00am–4:30pm)
- Option 2: 2x12s (7:00am–7:30pm) Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri + Wed (9:00am–5:30pm) + every other Saturday (8:00am–4:30pm)
- Setting: Hospital MRI Department, Outpatient Imaging, Clinic
- Number of Positions: 2 MRI Technologists
- Location: Geneva, NY (Zip: 14456) — Finger Lakes region; great local amenities and lakeside recreation
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of diagnostic radiology experience; MRI experience preferred (MRI technologist or MRI tech)
- Completion of an AMA-approved 2-year Radiology Technology program (A.A.S. degree required)
- Active New York State license as a radiologic, nuclear medicine, or ultrasound technologist
- BLS certification (AHA or RQI)
- Formal MRI-specific training preferred (Magnetic Resonance Imaging technologist experience)
- Maintains mandatory CEC-12 per year in Radiologic Technology
Key Responsibilities
- Perform technical MRI assignments using advanced MRI principles, protocols, and techniques
- Conduct diagnostic MRI exams for infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients across a variety of MRI studies
- Operate MRI scanners, coils, and related devices accurately; select appropriate coils and positioning
- Evaluate image quality, optimize MRI protocols, and ensure diagnostic images meet departmental standards
- Demonstrate competency with RIS and PACS for patient registration, image processing, and troubleshooting
- Follow and enforce MRI safety protocols (magnet safety, screening, and zone management) for patients and staff
- Administer MRI contrast agents safely when required; recognize and respond to adverse reactions and emergencies
- Adhere to infection control procedures and universal precautions in the imaging environment
