Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – 13-week adult critical care assignment in Rosedale, MD (Baltimore area). Seeking experienced RRTs for a hospital night-shift travel role delivering ventilator and pulmonary care.

• Setting: Short-term acute care teaching hospital — Adult Critical Care
• Contract: 13 weeks (travel assignment)
• Shift: Nights, 12 hours (18:30 – 07:00); weekend and holiday coverage expected
• Hours per week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,430 – $1,530
• Start Date: May 5, 2026

Required Qualifications / Certifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RRT in adult critical care (mechanical ventilation, ventilator management)
• At least 1 prior travel assignment completed (travel RRT experience preferred)
• Valid Maryland state licensure or compact license (Maryland respiratory therapist license)
• BLS and CRT certifications required (RRT credential required for practice)
• ED experience preferred; ACLS preferred
• Experience with Cerner electronic charting system
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Comfortable working in all adult areas; floating may be required
• Two supervisor references required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced airway management: intubation support, extubation, suctioning, nasal/oral airway placement, and tracheostomy care
• Manage mechanical ventilation and ventilator weaning; operate ventilators (Draeger V500, Servo U)
• Set up and manage aerosol masks, trach collars, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), BiPAP, CPAP
• Troubleshoot high pressure alarms and perform ventilator troubleshooting and adjustments
• Interpret and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs) and perform ABG collection
• Administer respiratory medications (Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, etc.) and provide pulmonary hygiene
• Collect sputum specimens
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Respiratory Services, Rapid Response Teams, and bedside nursing
• Provide patient care across adult and geriatric populations as required by the facility
