Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,080 – $2,240 (travel echocardiography pay)
- Contract Length: 12 weeks
- Start Date: April 27, 2026
- Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour (08:00 – 16:30)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Setting: Hospital – Pediatric Cardiac Unit (ICU, ED, outpatient)
- On-call: Once every 8 weeks
- Holiday Coverage: Required as scheduled
- Floating: Required within specialty and sister facilities
- Scrub Color: Provided for OR; any pediatric type for non-OR

Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer with pediatric echocardiography experience
- Active MD or Compact State License
- Certifications: ARDMS, ARDMS RDCS AE, ARDMS RDCS PE (pediatric/advanced echo credentials) and BLS (AHA only)
- Epic charting system experience required
- Comfortable imaging patient age ranges from neonates to adults and working with congenital heart disease
- Ability to float within specialty and to sister facilities as needed
- References: 2 satisfactory professional references from recent employers (1 supervisor/manager and 1 charge RN acceptable)
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Locals must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pediatric and adult transthoracic and echocardiograms for congenital and acquired cardiac disease
- Utilize advanced imaging techniques including 2-D, 3-D, M-Mode, Color Doppler, and Contrast studies
- Conduct echocardiography procedures in ICU, ED, operating rooms, and outpatient clinics
- Participate in on-call rotation and scheduled holiday coverage
- Float to other units and sister facilities within scope of practice
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records using Epic electronic charting
- Collaborate with pediatric cardiology, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
