- Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) / Nuclear Medicine Tech – Travel
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,690 – $1,820
- Location: York, Maine (Main Campus) & Portsmouth, New Hampshire (Cardiology Office) — Maine nuclear medicine jobs / New Hampshire cardiology jobs
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift: 8-hour days
- On-Call: No call required
- Setting: Hospital main campus and outpatient cardiology office (clinical nuclear medicine & cardiac stress testing)
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- CNMT certification required (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist)
- Minimum 1 year of nuclear medicine experience preferred (general NM and cardiac studies)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to safely handle and document radiopharmaceuticals and radioactive materials
- Strong IV insertion skills and patient communication/comfort skills
- Familiarity with ACR NM accreditation standards and State of Maine Radioactive Materials license requirements
Responsibilities / Key Duties
- Perform a variety of general nuclear medicine studies and cardiac nuclear stress testing, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety
- Prepare, dispense, and administer radiopharmaceuticals with strict adherence to radiation safety and dose documentation
- Perform IV insertions and patient preparation for nuclear cardiology exams
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment and dose calibrators; follow ACR NM accreditation protocols
- Maintain accurate, detailed documentation and patient records for regulatory compliance
- Communicate effectively with cardiologists, radiologists, and clinical teams to ensure diagnostic quality and timely results
- Deliver compassionate patient care and contribute to a positive patient experience across hospital and outpatient environments
