Join a dynamic hospital radiology team as an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) on a 13-week local W2 contract in Harrison Township, New Jersey (Zip: 08062). This Interventional Radiology job offers hands-on experience with vascular and neuro interventional procedures, angiography, and cardiac/vascular support in a modern hospital setting. Ideal candidates have ARRT registration and prior neuro IR experience.

Key Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved, accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro Interventional Radiology (IR) experience required
• Radiologic Technologist Registry (ARRT) required
• American Heart Association BLS required
• ACLS (AHA) required within 3 months of hire
• RCIS certification preferred (Cardiac/vascular procedural experience a plus)
• No pending licenses or certifications accepted
• Limited schedule exceptions: no more than 3 requested days off

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations as ordered by licensed physicians
• Assist physicians with diagnostic, routine, and emergent neuro, cardiac, vascular, and interventional radiology procedures (angiography, embolization, thrombectomy)
• Operate radiation-producing and fluoroscopy equipment in compliance with departmental and safety guidelines
• Monitor cardiac and hemodynamic status during interventional procedures and assist with patient monitoring in the IR suite
• Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning, contrast administration support, and sterile scrub assistance
• Collect and maintain radiology QA data; distribute and collect dosimetry badges and monitor radiation safety
• Maintain inventory and fiscally responsible use of specialized procedural supplies and devices
• Document procedures, maintain accurate patient records, and communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary care team
