• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 26, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
• Location: Troy, NY – Capital Region (zip code 12180) — New York MRI jobs / New York healthcare
• Setting: Hospital MRI Department (inpatient, ER, occasional outpatient)
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (8-hour evenings)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Holiday/Weekend Requirement: None
• Equipment / Systems: Siemens Espree MRI scanner, EPIC EMR

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of independent MRI scanning experience required (MRI Technologist / MRI Tech)
• Valid NYS ARRT registration with injection privileges (ARRT credential required)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Ability to scan independently; you will be paired with an imaging aide (not another MRI technologist)
• Compliance with standard hospital onboarding health and professional requirements (COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, PPD/IGRA, Fit Test, background check, competency testing)

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans for inpatient, emergency department, and select outpatient cases following hospital protocols
• Operate Siemens Espree MRI scanner safely and effectively; perform MRI sequences and protocols for neuro, MSK, body, and contrast-enhanced studies
• Administer IV contrast per facility policy (injection privileges required) and monitor patients for reactions
• Document procedures and patient information accurately using EPIC EMR and departmental records
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning throughout the imaging process; follow radiation safety and infection control standards
• Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and imaging aides to support efficient patient flow and high-quality diagnostic imaging
• Maintain image quality, equipment care, and adherence to department quality assurance procedures
