Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030 – $2,190
- Location: Rochester, NY 14642 — Rochester radiology jobs / New York healthcare
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
- Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center (trauma imaging, orthopedic imaging support)
- Shifts: Weekends – Friday (10:30am–Midnight), Saturday (8am–Midnight), Sunday (7:30am–4pm); 36 hours/week preferred (would consider 40)
- On-Call: 2–3 call shifts per month (must be able to report within 30 minutes)

Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification / ARRT-registered
- New York State Radiologic Technologist license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
- Minimum 2 years of diagnostic X-ray / radiology technologist experience
- Recent OR experience at a Level 1 trauma center required
- Experience using C-arm / O-arm within the past 8 months (intraoperative imaging)
- Ability to move or lift patients and stand for extended periods; experience with portable X-ray desirable
- Proficient with PACS and electronic patient information systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; team player with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to report within 30 minutes for on-call shifts
Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity and review physician orders before procedures to ensure accurate diagnostic imaging
- Operate radiographic equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images of bones, tissues, and organs (trauma and orthopedic imaging)
- Perform portable X-rays and intraoperative C-arm/O-arm imaging as needed in the OR and trauma settings
- Explain procedures to patients and family members to ensure comfort and informed consent
- Position and assist patients, including those with limited mobility or acute trauma
- Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize patient and staff exposure and handle radiologic equipment safely
- Monitor patient status and adapt imaging techniques for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Ensure images are properly identified, quality-checked, and transmitted to PACS for radiologist review
- Promptly report equipment issues or quality concerns to management and assist with troubleshooting
- Participate in on-call, callback, and holiday coverage as required for this travel radiology position
