Job Requirements

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• At least 2 years of recent, visible experience as a Respiratory Therapist (hospital/acute care experience preferred)
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a rotating schedule (travel night shift RRT)
• Strong clinical skills with experience in ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and airway management preferred
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills
• Meet hospital credentialing and any state licensure requirements for Pennsylvania

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients in the hospital's Respiratory Therapy Unit
• Assess, plan, and implement respiratory therapy interventions for patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions
• Provide ventilator management, oxygen therapy, airway management, and support for procedures as appropriate
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Monitor and document patient progress and response to therapy, including arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation when applicable
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment according to hospital protocols
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans, discharge instructions, and home oxygen when needed
