Radiation Therapist (Hospital) – 13-Week Contract – Quakertown, PA

Radiation Therapist – 13-week contract in Quakertown, PA (hospital setting). ARRT certification required. Start date: May 11, 2026. Join our oncology care team serving the Philadelphia & Lehigh Valley area.

Job Details

• Location: Quakertown, PA 18951 (may float to Grand View; Philadelphia area)
• Setting: Hospital – radiation therapy / oncology department
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Hours: 40 hours per week (5x8-hour shifts)
• Shift Times: Between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM
• On-Call: Up to 10 days/month
• Weekend / Holiday: 1 weekend per month, 1 holiday during contract
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,710 – $2,920
• Start Date: May 11, 2026

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Radiation Therapist or Radiation Therapy Technologist in a hospital or clinical oncology setting
• Valid ARRT certification (or state equivalent) in Radiation Therapy
• Experience with linear accelerators (LINAC), IGRT/CT simulation, and treatment setup preferred
• Ability to float to other facilities (Grand View) as needed
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills
• Current BLS certification preferred
• Understanding of radiation safety, ALARA principles, and infection control protocols

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments to oncology patients as prescribed by radiation oncologists
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain radiation therapy equipment (LINAC) and image-guided radiation therapy systems
• Perform patient setup, immobilization, verification imaging, and assist with CT simulation
• Monitor patients for reactions, provide compassionate care, and educate patients on treatment expectations
• Document treatments accurately in record & verify (R&V) systems and maintain patient records
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology teams—physicians, dosimetrists, nurses, and therapists—to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in on-call rotations, including scheduled weekends and holidays
• Perform routine QA checks and adhere to hospital safety, radiation safety, and infection control protocols
