• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,570 – $1,690

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in an acute care hospital setting
• Active RRT and CRT certifications (Registered Respiratory Therapist and Certified Respiratory Therapist)
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
• EPIC charting experience required (electronic medical record experience preferred)
• Ability and willingness to care for COVID-19 patients as needed
• Compliance with facility tobacco- and fragrance-free policies
• COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care and pulmonary support to patients in a hospital setting
• Assess, plan, and implement respiratory therapy interventions including oxygen therapy and aerosol treatments
• Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation and ventilator settings; provide ventilator support and weaning as appropriate
• Obtain and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and adjust therapy accordingly
• Utilize EPIC for accurate, timely documentation and patient charting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (nurses, physicians, and other clinicians) to optimize patient outcomes
• Provide patient and family education on inhalers, oxygen use, and discharge respiratory care
• Adhere to all hospital policies, infection control practices, and safety standards; respond to emergency and code situations as needed
