Hospital Dietitian (RD/RDN) – Travel, part-time clinical dietitian role in Reading, PA. Provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and behavioral health nutrition care for adults and seniors in an acute inpatient setting. Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,540 – $1,650
• Location: Reading, PA 19605 — Reading, Berks County; easy access to NJ shore, Pocono Mountains, and Philadelphia
• Position: Hospital Dietitian / Behavioral Health Dietitian (Travel RD/RDN, Part-Time)
• Setting: Acute Inpatient Hospital — Behavioral Health Unit
• Start Date: May 4, 2026
• End Date: August 2, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks (travel dietitian assignment)
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, 3 days per week (24 hours/week, Part-Time)
• Patient Population: Adults (18+) and Seniors (65+)

Required Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian credential (RD or RDN) required
• Current Pennsylvania dietitian licensure or eligibility to obtain PA licensure
• Minimum 1 year of dietitian experience; hospital, behavioral health, or clinical nutrition experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy (MNT), therapeutic diets, and nutrition education
• Strong communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, develop, and implement individualized nutrition care plans for patients with behavioral health, mental health, developmental, and substance use disorders
• Provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and nutrition education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and behavioral health professionals to support recovery and wellness goals
• Monitor patient progress, adjust care plans, and recommend modifications to meal plans as needed
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, discharge planning, and quality improvement initiatives related to nutrition services
