• Location: Camp Hill, PA 17011 (Central Pennsylvania / Harrisburg region)
• Position: Hospital Respiratory Therapist (RRT) — Travel Contract
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Setting: Acute care hospital
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3x12s per week)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,520 – $1,640

Qualifications / Requirements

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Minimum 1 year recent hospital-based respiratory therapy experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Familiarity with mechanical ventilation, ventilator management, and oxygen therapy
• Strong clinical assessment, patient education, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver intensive respiratory care, including ventilator management and ventilator adjustments per protocol
• Evaluate patients, perform respiratory assessments, and recommend treatment plans
• Administer physician-ordered therapies using ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and aerosol devices
• Perform airway management tasks: suctioning, tracheostomy care, and arterial punctures
• Monitor patient oxygenation and ventilation using pulse oximetry, capnography, and blood gas analysis
• Complete chest physiotherapy, pulmonary function studies, and assist with bronchoscopy and chest tube procedures
• Obtain and review chest x-rays, perform 12-lead EKGs, and recognize basic arrhythmias
• Safely transport respiratory patients and ensure continuity of care during shift handoffs
• Document treatments, patient responses, and therapy charges accurately in the medical record
• Communicate clearly with physicians, nursing staff, and allied health team members
