Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,170 - $2,330
• Role: Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) – travel contract, medical imaging / diagnostic imaging job
• Location: East Stroudsburg, PA (18301) — Pocono Mountains
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026)
• Shift: Day shift, Monday–Friday, 5x8-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Weekend Coverage: 6 weekend shifts per contract

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) or equivalent medical imaging technologist experience
• Valid state license or certification at time of submission
• Required certifications: ARRT(N), CNMT or NMTCB, and BLS
• Experience with charting/EHR systems (Epic preferred)
• IV start and maintenance skills required
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Pennsylvania (PA) fingerprints required
• Completion of compliance labs within 48 hours of signing
• Pass/fail clearance exam required (3 attempts maximum)
• Professional references and copies of certifications required

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures including 3-Phase, Bone, Exercise/Rest (Multiple & Single), Gastric Emptying, HIDA, MUGA, Nuclear Cardiology, Perfusion, PET/CT, Pharmacologic Stress, Uptake, V/Q (Ventilation/Perfusion), Whole Body scans, and more
• Operate and optimize PET/CT and gamma camera systems; follow radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Store, handle, and dispose of radioactive materials safely and in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to ensure coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and dose logs in the EHR
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients during imaging procedures
• Participate in orientation, competency validation, and required online or in-person training modules
• Adhere to hospital policies, state and federal regulatory compliance, and radiation safety protocols
