Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 – $1,860
• Location: Hospital Respiratory Therapy Unit, Jamestown, NY 14701 — Western New York (Jamestown, Chautauqua County)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 9, 2026)
• Shift: 3 × 12-hour straight night shifts per week (36 hours/week) — night shift respiratory therapist / critical care RT
• Employment Type: Travel (Travel Respiratory Therapist / Travel RT job)

Job Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting (respiratory care and ventilator experience preferred)
• Ability to work straight night shifts as needed
• Current New York state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities across patient populations
• Deliver care under physician direction and by prescription in all patient care areas of the hospital
• Administer respiratory treatments (oxygen therapy, bronchodilators, nebulizers) and initiate/adjust mechanical ventilation per protocol
• Monitor patient responses to treatment, manage ventilators, perform airway management and suctioning, and assist with emergency respiratory interventions
• Obtain and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs), document care accurately, and adjust plans as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, maintain compliance with hospital protocols, and follow safety and infection control standards
